Matthew is attending John A. Logan College in Illinois, studying Computer Science. He wrote, "I have had to deal with many challenges growing up and will work hard to fulfill my dreams. . . . I have always enjoyed helping others with technical problems, I believe it is my God-given talent . . . . I would like to work where I I can make a difference and put my passion to good use."
Benjamin Preusser from Henderson, MN OK (2014) Benjamin is attending Saint May's
University of Minnesota and is double majoring in Physics and Math. In his scholarship application, Bejamin wrote, " . . .My physical disability has influences my life and college major choices . . . . In high school, testing was really hard because a lot of the tests were timed. However, I really don't have other big moments in my life that Moebius prevented me from doing something or getting something I really wanted. I would say Moebius affects people around me because i notice their reactions to me and some are quite akward. I understand there are a lot of people that will judge a book by its cover snd I will have to provemyself over and over again."
Florencio Contreras IV from Duncan, OK (2013) Michael is studying Cross Cultural Ministry at Oklahoma Baptist University. He said, " . . .Throughout my childhood, I became extremely self conscious . . . ,all of a sudden, I had to grow up. Jokes stopped affecting me and I began laughing with others. I began to also care for the welfare of others rather than concentrating on myself. Throughout my trial and experiences growing up, God slowly challenged me and had called me to become a Minister of Missions for my church."

Michael Terhaar from Stewartville, MN (2010) Michael is studying Mathematics at St. John's University in Minnesota and is interested in becoming an engineer. He said, "telling others about Moebius Syndrome is one of the hardest things I have to do, but it is a way to educate others. When they know better, they will do better. This will make people aware of such unique conditions. It has been a difficulty in my life, but it has also shaped me into the funny, strong, responsible, respectful person I am today."

Katie Pedersen from Seattle. WA (2008) -Katie's educational goal is to study Photo Journalism at Brigham Young University. Her career goals include journalism and humanitarian aid. Her interest in Photo Journalism started in 2007 during a trip to Beijing where she helped to teach English to migrant children. Katie wrote, "I felt a special connection with the children and wanted to tell the whole world about their problems, and to help others see what little things they could do to make the world a better place."
